The Yoga of Sound

2 hour workshop looking at the sounds we make through the lens of yoga

Using the tools of chanting, pranayama, meditation, and journaling this workshop focuses on:

  • The anatomy & mechanics of breathing – the production of sound.
  • The emotional aspects of sound – sound coming from the anahata heart chakra and vishuddha throat chakra.
  • Mudra to seal the senses – listen to the sound and frequencies our own bodies create.
  • Asana of the throat, mouth, and skull to create tone – the primordial sound “Om”
